Why operate Portable? Combine the challenge of operating portable with other outdoor activities while increasing emergency preparedness and promoting the hobby.
The presentation will cover equipment needed to operate portable in the various on-the-air programs including World Wide Flora and Fauna, Summits on the Air, Islands on the Air, Lighthouses, County Hunting, World Castles Awards, and VHF/UHF, and OSCAR grid squares, and a recap of National Parks on the Air. We will share information for those who want to operate portable as well as those who want to chase or hunt portable operators in the various on-the-air programs.
